TSE is a full service structural engineering firm, located in central Connecticut, providing services to Designers, Contractors, and Architects.
We provide engineering solutions on all types of ground-up and restoration work involving commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Our services include evaluations, feasibility studies, structural design, building rehabilitation, field engineering, shop drawing, and inspection services. We hold professional engineering licenses and certifications in six states enabling us to provide services throughout the majority of the northeast.

Feasibility Studies
TSE provides comprehensive evaluations and feasibility studies on help clients understand the overall impact and cost of proposed facilities or process changes or the construction of new facilities or processes.
Structural Design
Our structural design services are aimed at providing efficient and cost effective services on all projects, starting with conceptual schematic designs, moving up to preliminary designs, followed by detailed construction documents.
Building Rehabilitation
TSE specializes in historic building restoration, structural code updates, and retrofit of buildings. Our years of experience partnering with clients result in thoughtful, functional inspiring designs that meets needs and exceed expectations.
On-call Field Engineering
TSE provides detailed, hands-on inspections to document the condition of the structures ranging from buildings to industrial facilities. We prepare detailed plans, specifications, and estimates which focus on safety, functionality, economy, sustainability and code compliance.
Shop Drawing Calculations
We provide professional shop drawings which facilitate and clarify the fabrication and/or installation process between each party. We work hard to uncover potential non-conformance before materials are ordered and installed.
Inspection Services
TSE offers a broad range of inspection services including special inspections, failure analysis, and building serviceability studies. Our technical expertise and knowledge of materials and procedures help us achieve a quality construction project for our clients.

Dave Toce , P.E., SECB, is the owner and lead engineer at Toce Structural. He is responsible for the structural design, detailing and drafting on all projects along with contract administration and the implementation of the special inspections program.
About David Toce, P.E., SECB David Toce graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a registered engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is certified by the Structural Engineering Certification Board. Dave serves as the President of the State of Connecticut Structural Engineers Coalition Board of Directors and as a member of the Structural Engineers Coalition Emergency Response Group. He is also an Adjunct Engineering Professor at Rensselaer at Hartford.
